Intensive Study

ASEF team members participate in the Anthropocene microcredential offered through the Centre for Theoretical Study at Charles University, Prague. Our sites and project materials are used in the field school program, opening opportunities for further study on the history of human-forest relationships in Central Europe and why these matter in the present. In formation and contact can be found here: Anthropocene.cz

Update: The 2024 Anthropocene fieldschool is now complete, but the past program can be viewed here, and details for the 2025 field school and applications will be posted here

Visit and Participate

There are many opportunities to visit or participate during fieldwork in Kokořínsko and Český ráj. The ASEF team has welcomed visits from school groups, forestry and silviculture managers, recreational hikers, and local interest groups. Our field activities have been featured in Czech documentary films and news stories. Contact for arranging site visits: pauknerova@cts.cuni.cz

Public Presentations

The ASEF research team also conducts public presentations during and after field seasons. The summer series was organized through the Melnik Museum and saw lots of participation and local interest.
